[Korean Restaurnat in Seoul] Melting Shop!

Hi! Today, I gonna introduce hot restaurant in Gangnam. If you have plan to visit to Seoul, I would like to recommend to you visit here!

 "Melting Shop was opened by the owners of the popular Cheongdam restaurant Tasting Room after long consideration. The place is booked weeks in advance, and you might question what the fuss is really about. However, once you visit Melting Shop and taste their food, you'll understand. Like Tasting Room, the space is a renovated residential house, thought its style is distintively more vintage, reminiscent of an American 1930s ballroom dance floor (they've even kept the round configuration of the original building). Though the menu definitely veers Italian-American Italian, there's a smattering of recipes incorporating international flavors: you'll find perilla" - From TIMEOUT

 

As "TIME OUT" mentioned, This restaurant so popular. So I recommend to book first!. 

Like the picture, the interiors very nice. When late Spring, Summer and Fall, It will be awesome to seat terrace.

We ordered signature menu of Melting Shop. Before we went there, my friends had searched about famous menu. So as many blogger recommend, we ordered  Caprese Pasta, Black pepper pork w/Baked bean & Pickle fritter & Classic plain Popover, Port wine oxtail pesto risotto spicy and for dessert  Blue-velvet sour-cream cake. And Latte.

 *Caprese Pasta

Mix Pasta with Dried Tomatoes, Ricotta Cheese and Basil Pesto. I really love this pasta. Not heavy and simple but delicious and feel fresh.

 *Black pepper pork w/Baked bean & Pickle fritter & Classic plain Popover

Awesome!  At the first time I saw the dish, I thought the pork is burn.

But that is seasoned with black pepper and cooked perfectly.

The pork goes well with the Classic plain popover bread, sauce and bean.

When i felt a bit oily, I had the pickle fritter. It was really nice menu.

* Port wine oxtail pesto risotto spicy

This risotto, I can say "fusion food" mixed with Korean and Italian-American.

The oxtail very soft and goes well with rice.

And we ordered "spicy favour" (we are totally Korean haha),

we had it like pig! Disappeared. 

* Blue-velvet sour-cream cake and Latte

This Cake is very popular. If you visit here, you could see many people order this.

It looks a bit heavy but it is not. Not so sweet, soft and fresh. Inside of cake,

there were plentiful blueberries. I love it! I can have one alone.

The latte, as you see the picture, really really big. 

So I recommend can share with friend or partner.

In my opinion no need to order one person one coffee.

 

In conclusion,  I can give ★★★★☆ 4 stars!

I expect to go Melting shop again when next visiting in Seoul.
